Ingredients: 1 ¼ c. flour ¼ tsp. Baking powder ¼ tsp. Salt 1/3 c. shortening 1 Tbsp. Butter or margarine 3-4 Tbsp. Cold water Instructions: In a small mixing stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening and butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp of the water over part of the mixture; gently toss with a fork. Push to side of bowl. Repeat till all is moistened. Form into ball. On lightly floured board flatten dough with hands. Roll dough from center to edge, forming a 12” circle, about 1/8” thick. Fit into pie pan. Trim ½” beyond edge; fold under and flute. Bake at 250 for 30 min. or until golden brown. |
