Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Cook Time: 15 minPrep Time: 15 min
Yield: 8 servings 

Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, cut into small pieces
1 large egg
1/2 cup half and half

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425F. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add butter and cut into flour mixture with a pastry blender until coarse crumbs form. In a small bowl whisk together egg and half-and-half. Add to flour mixture and stir with a fork until ingredients are moistened and hold together. Gather into a ball and transfer to a lightly floured surface. Knead several times. Pat into an 8 inch round and cut into 8 wedges with a sharp knife. Place wedges slightly apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden brown - about 12 minutes.
