Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Cook Time: 45 minPrep Time: 15 min
Yield: 9 servings 

Ingredients:
Brown-n-serve sausage (pork or turkey; suggest maple flavored)
Pancake mix (regular or buttermilk)
Pecan pieces if desired
Caramel Sauce.
Serving slices are 3" square. Select pan size based on number of slices to be served. A 9" pan yields 9 slices, 3x3.


Instructions:
Brown enough link sausages to cover appropriately bottom of selected pan. Drain fat well. (Pre-cooked sausages recommends, esp. maple flavored.)
Arrange cooked sausage in bottom of pan.
Mix sufficient pancake mix and pour over sausages to no more than about 1/3 of the depth of the selected pan (it will rise).

Bake 350 degrees - time 45 minutes (cooking time may vary with oven)

Test with toothpick to make sure it is almost cooked (toothpick should come out dry).
Poke holes in raised pancake.
Drizzle caramel sauce over pancakes, if desired.
Sprinkle pecan pieces on top, if desired
Put pan back in oven to warm sauce.
Slice into 3" squares to serve.

Some guests will desire maple syrup and butter.
