Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Cook Time: 45 minPrep Time: 30 min
Yield: 14 servings 

Ingredients:
2 C firmly packed brown sugar
1 C butter
1/2 C light corn syrup
14 slices Challah bread or Sweet Italian bread
4 eggs
2 1/2 C milk or half-n-half
1 TBS vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
3 TBS sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 C butter, melted


Instructions:
Combine first 3 ingredients in medium saucepan; cook over medium heat stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until bubbly.

Pour syrup evenly into a lightly greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Arrange bread slices over syrup. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, salt; stir well and pour over bread slices. Cover and chill at least 8 hours or up to overnight. Combine 3 TBS sugar and cinnamon. Sprinlke evenly over soaked bread. Drizzle 1/4 C melted butter over bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve immediately.
