Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp grated orange peel 1/2 cup margarine 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla 3 cup blackberries Topping: 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup flour 1 tsp cinnamon 2 Tbsp margarine Cut margarine into dry ingredients to crumbly consistency. Set aside. Instructions: Measure dry ingredients and with chopper cut in margarine to cornmeal consistency. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Stir to blend. Pour into greased tube pan. Sprinkle berries on top. Berries should be mixed with some of the topping before putting on batter. Add rest of topping and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Allow to sit 30 minutes and turn onto plate. Slice and serve warm or cool. Notes: Summer |
