Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
Combine:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 Tbls light corn syrup
and cook over a medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour in 9 x 13 glass baking dish (spray with Pam first)
Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped pecans
Place one layer sliced sweet French bread on syrup and pecans-
Equals 6 slices
Top with 8 thinly sliced green apples

Combine in blender:
6 eggs
1 and 1/2 cups of milk
1 tsp vanilla
Then pour half of mixture over first layer

Instructions:
Place a second layer of sliced sweet French bread on top of apples and cover with remaining egg and milk mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg and bake uncovered for 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Each person is served 1 double layer serving. It can also be served with whipped cream.

At the Whitegate Inn we serve the French toast with hot syrup and Canadian bacon. We usually serve it every Sunday. Our guests just love it and ask for it, and are disapointed if we serve something different, soooo every Sunday it is our signature Sunday Breakfast.
