Yield: 9 servings

Ingredients:
* ¾ cup sugar
* 4 eggs
* 5 slices bread, crusts removed
* ½ cup butter, softened
* 1 16-oz can crushed pineapple, drained
* Dash of nutmeg

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8" x 8" baking dish.

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and beat well. Add pineapple and beat in bread and nutmeg. Pour into baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes or until browned.

Notes:
Not quite a souffle, actually, but a kind of bread pudding that's nice as a side dish.
