Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients: 4 cups Quaker Oatmeal ½ cup wheat germ ½ cup sunflower seeds (not roasted) ¼ cup flax seeds (optional) ¾ cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts or sliced almonds) ½ – 1 cup unsweetened coconut Mix all together in a large mixing bowl. In a small pan mix together and heat until sugar melts: ½ cup oil ½ - ¾ cup brown sugar ¼ cup honey 1 tsp vanilla Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional) Add to dry ingredients and mix well. Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two 13” x 9” x 2” pans and divide mixed ingredients on two pans. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until toasted. Stir half way through baking time. Remove from oven and stir during cooling time. Allow to fully cool before storing in airtight container. *You can also add a cup of dried fruit after baking. |
