Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
4 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup heavy cream (room temperature)
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 Tbsp butter melted with 2 Tbsp mable syrup

Instructions:
Combine dry ingredients. Cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles fine crumbs. Blend 3/4 cup cream with 1/4 cup syrup; mix with dry ingredients. Stir just until dough coheres. Knead 4 to 5 times. Do not over knead. Pat out 3/4 inch thick, ut with 1 3/4 inch biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet, brush tops with butter and syrup mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
