Ingredients: 3 cups of water 1 cup of half & half dairy pinch of salt 2 cloves of pressed garlic 3 ounces of cream cheese 3 ounces of Jarlsburg cheese or any other cheese 1 ounce of shredded cheddar cheese Instructions: In a sauce thick pan, bring water, half & half dairy, salt and garlic to a boil; after turning down to lowest temp on stove, add in grits, stir occasionally, keep lid on pan. After 30 minutes, add in cream and Jarlsburg cheeses, put lid back on for 5 minutes, stir until a creamy thickness. Serve in dish and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Notes: Make sure to soak pan in hot water right after dishing out grits. |
