Ingredients: ½ cup egg whites 6 oz powdered sugar 6 oz granulated sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract Instructions: 1) Beat egg whites in mixing bowl until soft peaks, then progressively add granulated sugar until stiff. 2) Beat on third speed for an additional few seconds then fold in powdered sugar and extract. 3) Pour into a pastry bag with a star tip then pipe into a sheet pan that is covered in parchment paper. 4) Transfer to a preheated oven: 175F, bake for 2.5-3 hours until dried. Not much color and a bit crispy. 5) Turn off the oven and leave in for another hour. 6) Meringue can be used the next day and served with ice cream, strawberries, grand Marnier, and whipped cream. Fresh berries sauce to top. |
