Ingredients: 1 stick butter 1 cup brown sugar 2 Tablespoons maple syrup 1/2 teaspoon rum extract In a bowl whisk together: 9 eggs 2 1/2 cups half and half 2 teaspoons vanilla 4 teaspoons Grand Marnier 1/2 teaspoon salt Serve with warm maple syrup and/or strawberries. Instructions: 1 stick butter 1 cup brown sugar 2 Tablespoons maple syrup 1/2 teaspoon rum extract Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray Cut crust off of 2 loaves of challah (braided egg bread) Cut bread into slices 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick, then each slice on the diagonal and line pan. In a bowl whisk together: 9 eggs 2 1/2 cups half and half 2 teaspoons vanilla 4 teaspoons Grand Marnier 1/2 teaspoon salt Pour over bread. Put sugar and cinnamon on top. Cover with plastic. Refrigerate overnight. Let come to room temperature. Bake at 350 oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve with warm maple syrup and/or strawberries. |
