Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 8  

Ingredients:
3 c. milk
4 Tbsp. butter
6 medium potatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:
Combine milk, butter, and salt and pepper in large saucepan. Bring slowly to boil whileyou peel potatoes. Do not soak potatoes, you need the starch. Slice 1/8 inch thick; drop slices into hot milk. Add garlic. Partially cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, until potatoes are almost done. Pour potatoes and their liquid into buttered casserole. Sprinkly with cheese and bake at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes, until sauce has thickened and cheese is melted and golden brown. May be prepared up to the baking point, the day before.
