Ingredients: 3/4 cup frozen wild blueberries, thawed. juice from the blueberries and water to make 3/4 cup of liquid. 3 tbsp. Pure Canadian Maple Syrup. 6 Pears, peeled, sliced in half and cored. 1 Tbsp. Lemon jucie. Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F. Place the pears in a shallow pan, cover with the berries, juice/water/ lemon juice and maple syrup mixture. Sprinkle liberally with ground cinnamon and a little fresh ground nutmeg. Bake covered 45 minutes, basting occasionally. Serve with a dollop of yoghurt or sour cream. Can be used as a dinner dessert by changing the water to your favourite liquer. Experiment! |
