Ingredients: 4 large apples, halved and cored (Red Rome) 2 cups your favorite granola 1 cup non-fat yogurt (vanilla) or Combine: 1 cup heavy whipping cream 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp sugar Instructions: Place halved and cored apples in shallow baking dish. Apples should have a fairly large hole cut out of them in the center. Fill apples with granola mix - may include seasonal mixes of raisins, dried cranberries, nuts. Place a small dab of butter or shortening on top of granola. Bake at 350°F for one hour. When apples are done, serve in individual bowl topped with whipped cream or yogurt or place in serving tray with each apple dabbed with topping. Arrange edible flowers around apples. Serve while hot. Serves 8. |
