Ingredients: 2each Puff Pastry sheets – room temperature ¼cup Blacking Rub ½ cup Asiago Cheese – shredded Flour for dusting Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 1.Roll out the pastry sheets into rectangles fairly thin. 2.On half of the pastry dust with the blacking rub and then sprinkle some of the cheese. Fold the other half over the seasoned side and roll out again to make a rectangle, this time not going as thin. 3.Cut the pastry the short way into half inch strips. Once they are cut seal the open end by pinching the pastry when you lift up on it. Gently twist the ends in opposite directions to make the pastry twisted. 4.Place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake for about 7-8 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and serve. Notes: Variation: Once cooled, wrap pancetta around one end of the breadsticks. |
