 French Breakfast Puffs Recipe

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp plus 2 tsp shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 egg
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/8 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:
Cream together the shortening, sugar, and egg. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and nutmeg. Add the milk to the creamed mixture and mix with the flour mixture. Fill greased muffin cups half-full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in microwave. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll the puffs in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
