Ingredients: 4 cups skim milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups peeled and chopped apples
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 cup raisins
1 cup wheatgerm
Instructions:
Combine and scald the milk, brown sugar, butter, salt and cinnamon. Combine the remaining ingredients in a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Pour hot milk mixture into dish and stir to blend. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
Helpful hint: Leftovers can be used to make bread or cookies.
