Ingredients:
Melt 1/4 cup butter and add 1/2 cup clear corn syrup, 1 tsp. almond extract and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture into a 9 inch deep sided pie plate. Place 1 cup of thinly sliced peaches over syrup. In a large bowl, break 6 eggs and mix in 1 and 1/2 cups milk until well blended. Cut 6-8 pieces of an Italian loaf of white bread into 1 inch slices. Soak in eggs mixture for 1 minute. Place each bread slice onto the syrup in the pie pan, cut pieces to fill in open areas. Pour remaining egg mixture over bread slices. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees, remove plastic wrap on pie pan and bake for approx. 1 hour. The French Toast will puff in the center when done and be nicely toasted. Serve with sausage.
