 Pear Sauce for Waffles Recipe

Ingredients:

Pear Sauce for Waffles
Makes 1 1/4 cups or 4 large helpings

4 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 can (13 ounces) pear slices
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon corn starch


Instructions:
Melt butter or margarine in a small saucepan. Add brown sugar and stir until sugar dissolves. Drain pear slices, reserving 1/3 cup syrup. Blend reserved syrup, cinnamon and corn starch; add to mixture and blend. Add pears. Cook 5 minutes over medium heat or until thickened. Serve warm over waffles with a dollop of whipped cream.
