Ingredients: 4 cups sugar
6 cups sifted flour
1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
6 Tablespoons cocoa
4-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 cups shortening
6 eggs
44 ounces applesauce
Topping:
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 cup of chopped walnuts
Instructions: Preheat oven 350 degrees.
In a large mixer or food processor, cream together shortening, eggs, and sugar. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Mix together 4 tablespoons sugar with chopped walnuts and sprinkle on top. Pour into 2 floured bundt pans. Bake for approximately 1 hour or until cake test comes out clean.
