Yield: 1 dozen

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 sticks butter
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup milk
1/2 cup half and half
2 tablespoons oat bran

Instructions:
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add raisins. Add milk and half and half, and mix with a fork until moisture forms soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured board and knead gently several times. Divide dough in half and shape into two 7-inch rounds. Cut each into 6 wedges. Place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheet and pierce tops with fork. Brush with 1/4 cup milk and sprinkle with oat bran. Bake 15-18 minutes at 425 degrees until golden brown. Serve warm.
