Ingredients: 1 cup apples, peeled and sliced 1 Tbsp bacon drippings or margarine 1 heaping Tbsp brown sugar 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground cloves Instructions: Sautee apples in a cast iron skillet with bacon drippings or margarine. Add brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Cover skillet and cook over low heat about 20 minutes or more. Add a little water if they become too stiff. |
