Yield: 2 dozen

Ingredients:
2 egg whites
Pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 6-ounce package semisweet chocolate bits, melted and cooled slightly
Light brown sugar
Finely chopped walnuts, for sprinkling

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Beat egg whites with salt, vinegar, and vanilla in a small bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add the 1/2 cup light brown sugar and beat until mixture forms stiff peaks. Fold in chocolate. Pipe in little balls onto cookie sheet (or use 2 tesaspoons to form small puffs). Sprinkle generously with walnuts and brown sugar.

Bake 10 minutes. Cool and store in a tight-fitting container. For the holidays, place in little decorated paper cups.
