Ingredients: 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 3/4 cup molasses 3/4 cup Crisco shortening 2 1/4 cup flour 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 3/4 teaspoon ginger 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp cloves 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 cup boiling water Instructions: Add beaten eggs to sugar, molasses, and melted shortening. Add sifted flour and spices, then add hot water. Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes |
