Ingredients: 1 cup shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp soda 1 tsp salt 3 cups quick cook oatmeal 1 cup nuts at least 2 cups of coconut, candied fruit, raisins, currants - whatever you wish Instructions: Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Do not overbake. (The secret of this cookie is to remove it from the oven while still soft.) |
