Ingredients:
Pears are peeled, halved, cored and placed in a single layer in a baking dish. Add water leaving the pear tops above water level. Cover each two pear halves with about a heaping tablespoon of white sugar. Bake in 400 degree F oven for about an hour until most of the water has boiled out and the syrup starts to carmelize. Add some water to produce the pear caramel flavored syrup. Serve.
