Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs (we use only fresh eggs gathered that morning)

Mix together then add:

1 1/2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1 cup milk
Pinch of thyme
Pinch of marjoram
1/4 cup frozen corn (optional)

Instructions:
Bake corn bread in greased 9-inch pan at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Make white sauce below. When corn bread is done, pour white sauce with eggs over each serving on plate, top with sliced egg and a pinch of paprika. Goes great with bacon!


WHITE SAUCE:

4 T butter
3 1/2 T flour
2 cups milk or half & half
1/2 tsp. salt
Chopped boiled eggs

Melt butter and mix with 3 1/2 T flour, cool for a minute then add 2 C milk or half and half. Add 1/2 tsp salt and chopped boiled eggs (4) (Save a few slices for topping)
