Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 2/3 cup packed brown sugar 1 cup chunky peanut butter 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup old fashioned oatmeal 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Instructions: In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars. Beat in peanut butter, egg and vanilla. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto un-greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cool approximately 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool. Note: Oats may be put through food processor or blender until fine if desired. |
