Ingredients: The North Garden Inn developed this special cookie recipe. They hope you enjoy it. 1 cup semisweet chocolate ships 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 2 eggs at room temperature 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 oz white chocolate chips 4 oz. toffee chips Instructions: Preheat oven to 359 degrees In the top of a double boiler or in the microwave, melt the chocolate chops, stirring until smooth. In a large bowl beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the sugars and peanut butter and beat until well blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, soda and salt. Stir in the white chocolate chips and toffee chips. Using a spatula, stir in the melted chocolate to create stripes. Drop the dough by teaspoonful onto baking sheets, leaving an inch between cookies. Bake 10-12 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Peanut butter with nuts can be used as well as nuts added to the batter for a crunchier taste. Our guests really like these chips so when we make them, we make a double batch. |
