Instructions:
Health-conscious eating is not a new idea, and in the past many health professionals developed recipes and foods for patients interested in enhancing their health through the foods they ate.

This famous dish was created by Dr. Bircher in 1887 in Switzerland at his diet clinic. In 1924 it was named Bircher-Muesli and became a Swiss national tradition. (Not unlike our traditional Kellogg's corn flakes.) Next time you see muesli in the stores, you'll know where it came from.
