Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 2 loaves 

Ingredients:
2 cups applesauce
2 slightly beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted margarine or butter
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup golden raisins
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions:
In a large bowl, beat together the applesauce, eggs, sugar and melted butter. In a smaller bowl, stir together the dry ingredients. Stir the dry ingredients into the batter and mix only until the mixture is smooth. Add the raisins and nuts.

Pour into 2 greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pans and bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean.
