 White Chocolate Macadamian Nut Cookies Recipe

Yield: 5 dozen 

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 6 oz. package white chocolate-flavored baking bars, cut into chunks
1 7oz. jar macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped



Instructions:
Beat butter and shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until soft and creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating well. Stir in white chocolate and nuts. Drop dough by rounded tsp. 2" apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks and let cool completely.
