Ingredients:
2 pkgs. Frozen puff pastry
1 slightly beaten egg white
8 oz. Can almond paste (almonds and sugar)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions:
Thaw puff pastry according to package directions. Stir egg white, almond paste, and sugars to make a homogeneous mixture. Roll each sheet of puff pastry into 12 1/2 x 10" rectangles. Cut into 10 5x21/2" strips. Shape almond filling into a 4 1/2 " rope about the size of a pencil. Place down the center of a pastry strip. Roll lengthwise. Brush the edge with water to seal. Place on baking sheet; brush with water and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Makes 40 strips. These freeze well in plastic bags. Let thaw at room temperature for 10 minutes. Warm at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
