Situated in historic and scenic Orange County, Mayhurst is the premier location in Central Virginia for the event that will provide you with a lifetime of memories. Mayhurst and its grounds have hosted numerous weddings - from 10 to 300 guests. Locations abound for your Ceremony. From the elegant front porch, the main entry walk, to an arch through the boxwood hedge, under the 200 year old ash tree by our pond, or in the Main Parlor, your Ceremony will reflect your personal desires. Regardless of where you select for the Ceremony and Reception, the natural beauty of Mayhurst will add to your special day. Your Mayhurst Wedding experience doesn't end here. Mayhurst Inn has 8 large, beautifully appointed guest rooms for the wedding party. The Bride and Groom can enjoy the luxury of the Italian Suite - complete with a bottle of Champagne, a two person Jacuzzi tub, queen size bed, fireplace, and a private balcony. You and your guests can start the each day with a full, three course elegant breakfast. All guest rooms must be rented for a minimum of two nights when the event is on a weekend. Room prices are on our web site. Brides get a 10% discount on all rooms for both nights, for nights prior to their event, and for post event visits (like Anniversaries). Of course, a full breakfast is provided to all those guests staying at Mayhurst. Indoor seating capabilities are: Dining Room - 32; Library - 8. The Main Parlor can accommodate 40 seated for a small wedding. Indoor Rehearsal Dinners, Ceremonies and Receptions can be arranged in these rooms. Our outdoor Ceremony and Reception locations can accommodate up to 300 people. The Patio seats 64 comfortably for a reception. Ample parking is available. All outdoor events exceeding 64 persons require rental of an appropriate size tent or canopy. Applicable charges will also be added for rental items (tent/canopy, bandstand, tables, table cloths, chairs, dance floor, china, glassware, silverware, etc.). We can provide an estimate. We provide our brides with a complete "recommended" vendor list that includes caterers, florists, photographers, wedding cake vendors, Ministers or Wedding Celebrants, musicians, and other services. We are happy to assist you with making arrangements. The Premises Site Fee for the use of the Mayhurst Manor House and our 37 Acres for a weekend is $3,000, plus Virginia Sales Tax. The site fee covers the period from 2:00 PM on Friday to 12:00 Noon on Sunday. The total cost for the use of Mayhurst, our 8 guest rooms for Friday and Saturday nights, and our 37 Acres for your Wedding Weekend, from 2:00 PM on a Friday until 12:00 Noon on Sunday, including all taxes, is $6189.23. Wedding Weekends must be booked by 1 January, 2010 to recieve this discount. |
